Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 14, 2026

This policy explains what data Clipfront ("we", "us") collects when you use the Clipfront web app, and why. Clipfront is designed to collect as little data as possible — read on for specifics.

Your video footage

Clipfront processes your gameplay video entirely inside your own browser. Your video file is never uploaded to, or stored on, any Clipfront server — cropping, compositing, and exporting all happen locally on your device. We have no access to, and never see, the content of the videos you edit.

Payment information

If you purchase a subscription, checkout is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number or other payment details — Stripe shares with us only what's needed to identify your subscription (e.g. that a payment succeeded). Stripe's own privacy policy governs the payment information you give them.

Advertising and cookies

If advertising is enabled on Clipfront, we use Google AdSense to show ads. AdSense may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve ads, including ads personalized to your activity elsewhere on the web. Where required (for example, for visitors in the EU/EEA and UK), we ask for your consent before any personalized advertising cookies are set. You can learn more about, and control, how Google uses this data at Google's ad privacy page and manage your ad personalization settings at adssettings.google.com.

Analytics

Clipfront does not currently use any analytics or behavioral tracking of its own.

Technical / hosting data

Our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information for security and operational purposes — things like IP address, browser type, and request timestamps. This is normal web server behavior and isn't used to build a profile of you.

Accounts

Clipfront doesn't currently require an account to use the editor, so we don't hold a username, password, or profile for you.

We don't sell your data

We don't sell personal data. The only third parties involved are the payment processor (Stripe) and, if enabled, the advertising provider (Google) described above, each governed by their own privacy policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws like the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA — for example, to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data held about you, or to opt out of the "sale or sharing" of personal information for advertising. Since Clipfront itself holds very little personal data, most of this data lives with Stripe and Google directly; contact us and we'll help direct your request.

Children's privacy

Clipfront is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International use

Clipfront is available worldwide. Where third-party processors (Stripe, Google) are involved, they may process data in countries other than your own, subject to their own safeguards and policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Clipfront changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do — significant changes will be called out on this page.
